I was born on the beautiful Island of Barbados. I grew up on a large plantation with enough wide-open space to let the imagination run wild. Something I did continuously! I existed in my own little world–in a place dubbed, "Mon's Ville" by some of my loving family.
The truth is, even now, I spend a lot of time in Mon's Ville. After all, it's where my story people live. How can I not go to visit them often? Moreover, how else will my books get written?
I've been imagining stories for as long as I can remember. They were always stories of love and laughter, and of course, happy-endings. One or two I didn’t want to forget so wrote them down. With a Managing Director for a mum, I soon learned the art of enterprise, and realized I could make extra pocket money by selling my short stories and flower drawings for 10¢ each.
As a young teen, I discovered Sweet Dreams and Sweet Valley High. It was then I fell in love with romance novels. Later I moved on to Mills & Boon and Sidney Sheldon, and started writing romance novels when I was fifteen. I still have my first attempt entitled Love in a Mystery. I had great fun writing that book.
Once I caught the writing bug, it just wouldn't release me! I've been writing on and off, between babies, for just over twenty years.
I now live happy-ever-after with my husband and four children in Northamptonshire, England. However, the Island girl in me makes sure we holiday on the Isle of Wight every year. I just love that South Coast English island!
I am delighted to report that God has blessed me with the things I desperately wanted: My very own to-die-for hero, four wonderful children, and the gift of storytelling. What more could a girl want? Oh, I know... A fantastic book contract!
